Among the myriad things that interest children, they love to read story books! Sadly, they do not have access to quality books in their mother language. We have over 1000 books in the Unmukt Library. While most of those are in English, all our children are Odia speaking. This is not just the story of children from Shradhapalli, Bhubaneswar but across India.

What do we mean by quality books or reading material? Books with characters and stories that are RELEVANT to the world the child grows up in; books with content that INTERESTS the child; books that are in his/her MOTHER TONGUE; books with a proper BALANCE of colourful pictures and engaging text; and books that are AFFORDABLE.

Are such books available? Not a lot, but yes. We have compiled a list of such books, along with other useful books for the enjoyment and holistic growth of a child.

Continuing from one pandemic year to another, when schools have been closed for the near future, we thought to Build a Book Tree!! A tree of such quality books which nourishes young minds with curiosity, knowledge, and the powers of imagination.

2. Order a book (or more) of your choice

3. Send the book(s) to the below address (Courier Address)

4. Register your name in the Book Tree by sharing your book details with us on info@unmuktfoundation.org
